2007 has been a significant year of progress in the publication of several 1DCLI 'A" Company websites and blogsites that portray an editorial and pictorial record of the "A" Company Detachment to Prospect Garrison, Devonshire Parish, Bermuda from 1954-1957.

From the early enthusiasm of the Editor (in Australia) simply showing a collection of personal photo memorabilia, there is now an amazing number of "Old DCLI'ians" from Bermuda times who share their views, opinions, recollections and fond memories of our fleeting youth. Gradually, but slowly also, we are hearing from or about our other Caribbean Mates in Jamaica and Honduras.

Such enthusiasm is shared on this sub-page by Barry Cornish using his trusty Canon 4400F scanner and forwarding selected pages from the DCLI Journal below - generously provided by Keith Mannings.

We make no apology for the poor rendition of a 50 year old paper magazine, we have collectively done our best to open those unique 'pages' of our past and hope that you the reader will gain as much pleasure in browsing the hard to read print, as we have experienced in the publishing effort. In the interests of clarity, we shall gradually publish duplicate photos from the Journal with those provided by Fraser Pakes on our main "A" Company website.

You will discover on that site some better quality photos of those that are duplicated here, in addition to many more photos of the latter part of "A" Company's service in Bermuda from 1956 - 1957 - long after this editor departed for Blighty in October 1955.

We plan also to replicate here copies of the Bermuda Tattoo Magazine, kindly again forwarded by Barry Cornish.

If you the reader can add to the splendid contributions that have been made to date, you will be most welcome. A .jpeg file of any photo is required and can be attached to an email to The Editor together with suitable location captions and time references and ID of faces if possible.
